FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The World team, featuring Moncton natives Dylan Hollohan and Cameron Wade, lost 17-0 to Team USA in an international all-star football game here Saturday.

The game featured 45 top United States high school seniors against a squad of under-20 players from outside the U.S. Eight countries were represented on the World team, including 32 from Canada.

The game was played in front an estimated crowd of 3,000 at Lockhart Stadium and followed NFL Pro Bowl practices by AFC and NFC teams.

Hollohan, a cornerback with the St. Francis Xavier X-Men, recorded five tackles in the game. He also forced a fumble after a 50-yard reception by USA receiver Josh Reese. Hollohan reached in and popped the ball loose short of the goal line. Reese recovered the fumble, however, and the Americans scored on the next play for their first touchdown of the game with nine seconds left in the first half.

Wade, a safety with the Acadia Axemen, had one tackle.
