| In 2001-2 the championship trophy was called the Mike Upward Trophy. In 2003 it was renamed The Nick Desilets Memorial Trophy. This trophy was donated by Football New Brunswick. |

Fran Hughes
(a.k.a. The Bear)- Fran was a school teacher for 33 years. He played
university football for U.N.B.- Fredericton for 4 years as a tight end.
He was the second leading scorer in the league in his second year. He taught
and coached football at St. Malachy's High in 1969 with Fran McHugh,
